Scope and Content

Album containing photographs of Church historic sites. Includes primarily views of Joseph Smith memorial cottage and monument and surrounding area at Sharon, Vermont; Joseph Smith farm, Sacred Grove, Hill Cumorah, and other Palmyra-Manchester, New York sites; Isaac Hale home at Harmony (now Oakland township), Pennsylvania; of Kirtland, Ohio, including the temple; temple sites at Independence, Missouri and Far West and other LDS sites in northern Missouri; and sites in the Nauvoo-Carthage, Illinois area. Also includes photograph of an 1833 Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania deed signed by Joseph and Emma Smith.

Album was prepared under direction of John F. Bennett and was presented to Joseph F. Smith in January 1909 by Anderson's wife, Olive Lowry Anderson.
